Posting for 21/8 as no Internet access on the day.
We see the largest pie dish in the world this morning, before setting off on our scenic drive along the lake. We see an old but still working fish town in Leland. All wooden shanties, though some are now used for selling souvenirs and clothes. We see some really nice scenery at the Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore park. There are more lakes than just Lake Michigan!! But there are some really big sand dunes, and some people are stupid enough to go down the bottom and wonder why they have such a heap of trouble coming back up! The park charges $800 for rescuing people. We overnight in Grand Rapids after making our way through the forested areas of Michigan. Weather was just beautiful for pictures.
