Ashland to Antigo, Wisconsin

We start today with a mural tour around Ashland. Great works, and have just been recently repainted. We've got a few more waterfalls to see, which require a little bit more walking but are really nice to see. Our morning tea stop is at Glidden, the Black Bear Capital of the World. We see the largest bear shot in Wisconsin (stuffed behind glass) but no real ones. On further and we stop at Phillips for more Wisconsin Folk Art, a concrete sculpture park. It is probably the best of the quirky lot so far. We climb up to the highest point in Wisconsin on Timms Mountain, and Ted has a photo opportunity. There are a few more stops along the way, but those are the highlight. Another fine day.

  1. HiJen, The water views & the sunset photos o Tuesday were great. Glad you didin't come across a real live bear. Glad TED is having a great holiday too. He is a well travelled little bear. Still very cold here , love Beryl
