Superior to Ashland, Wisconsin

We started with some waterfalls this morning. We had morning tea at Herbster and ordered a (single) pancake for breakfast.....the small one didn't fit on the plate, can you imagine how much the large one hung over! We then went for a ferry ride to Madeline Island, part of the Apostle Island group in Lake Superior. We "followed" an auto CD tour around the island that told us about Indian, fur trappers and missionary history relating to the island's habitation. It is pretty scenery both in the forest and overlooking the beaches or the cliffs. We catch the ferry back to the mainland and continue around the lake edge to Ashland. Dinner tonight is out on the terrace overlooking the water and watching the sun set drinking a Margarita (thinking of you Pam) ...what a great day.
