Chicago (Day 1)

Birthday day today .. yippee!! Carolyn goes to her conference and Russ, Ted and I go out to play. We head for the Field Museum, where we see a Genghis Khan exhibition and then do a free tour of the highlights of the museum. We then catch the train to Chess Music and get a tour of the famous Chicago Blues recording studio. We then catch a bus to Millennium  Park, and have a look at the famous bean. After making our way through the streets back to the hotel, we change, pick up Carolyn and go to the Kingston Mines Blues club. We had their signature dish of ribs and listened to two acts for just on 3 hours of great music. Great night with great friends. Beautiful day after last nights rains.
