Dubuque to Clear Lake, Iowa

Today is a film set day. At Dyersville, we see a large and impressive Basilica, before heading to the "Field of Dreams" film set. A feel good story about dreams coming true based around baseball. At Strawberry Point we see the largest strawberry in the world. We pick up another scenic byway just outside town and pass through rolling hills. We stop at the Little Brown Church in the Vale. There has been a song written about it but none of us know it. We move on to Mason City, to the Music Man Square which honours Meredith Wilson, who has written many Broadway shows a couple of which have been made into movies The Music Man set has been recreated and combined with a museum and his boyhood home. A great day, with blue skies and not quite as hot.
